Fall Arrest VS Fall Restraint A Fall Restraint System is like a leash. It restricts its wearer from reaching a point where a fall could occur. In doing so, it also often restricts them from reaching a point where their work could occur. Unlike a Fall Restraint System, a Fall Arrest System can withstand the force of a fallen worker. Whether you wear a harness 4 hours a day or 14, it needs to fit right for safety and comfort. Harnesses with adjusting points on the legs, waist (belt models), chest and torso allow a better fit.

Webbing is an important factor in the durability and safety of the harness. Ensure that the webbing is strong enough to endure rough use, exposure to sunlight and other elements without tearing or fraying. Types Of HarnessesDBI-SALA® harnesses are available in different types, with various features, depending on their intended use.

Multi-Purpose HarnessThis type typically includes extra attachment points which allow work in a variety of situations. The belt and pad provide additional back lumbar support, positioning rings and tool carrying options.

These harnesses have positioning D-rings located on the hips for use with pole straps or work positioning lanyards, which allow hands-free operation. Harnesses of this kind may include integral waist belts.

Installation Method For Swing Gate

1. Attach the U-bolts (item 4) to the Guardrail section and Outside Gate section (item 1). Note: The top of the swing gate should be level with the top of the guardrail.2. Using an 11/16” wrench, install the U-bolts and then install the plastic spacers followed by the two nuts. Do not over tighten the connections.3. Attach the Gate Latch (item 5) to the Latch Plate (item 3) using the #12 screws and nuts (item 6 and 7)4. Attach the Latch Plate assembly to the opposite Guardrail section using a U-bolt (item 4).5. Hand tighten the U-bolt.

Using a washer and nut on each side of the Gate section and with the bolt head facing the Gate Latch, install the 3/8”-16 x 3 1/2” bolt (item 9) onto the inside Gate section (item 2) with a 9/16” wrench.7. Slide the Gate section to the appropriate length and tighten the set screws (item 11) with a 1/4” Allen wrench.

8. For the bolt to securely actuate the Gate Latch, adjust the Latch Plate U-bolt (3/8” - 16 x 3 1/2”) and / or inside Gate section as necessary.9. To prevent sliding, tighten the Striker Plate U-bolt with an 11/16” wrench.

Safety Pad III FR

Safety Pad III FR is molded from a high strength, fire retardant and chemical resistant urethane. Safety Pad III FR is now offered in a high or low profile version for applications not requiring the stainless steel studs or grooves.

Safety Pad II FR is known to outlast our leading competitors’ mats by 2 - 3 times and has been tested and approved by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate. This approval is based on test certificate 250010.40/92.238 dates 7/31/92, Sinted NBL - Norwegian Fire Research Laboratory. The test method is Solas (Safety of Life At Sea) NT Fire 007-NS-Insta 414.

This high-traction work surface is custom molded 1” thick to fit the rotary table, drill floor and any other critical work or walk area. Using the same urethane and maintaining the high standards as industry-leading Safety Pad II FR, Safety Pad III FR offers a traction pattern that is molded into the surface of the mat.

CS-150 Piperack MattingThe CS-150 Racking Pad has long been proven to improve the efficiency of tripping pipe by reducing potential lost time and eliminating unnecessary risks.

CS-150 is a 100% solid urethane elastomer and is made of a higher density polymer than our standard traction pads. This custom formulation offers extreme hydrolytic stability, anti-fungal properties and ultraviolet stability. Fluid channels are molded directly into the design in one direction facilitating drainage and providing extra traction. These pads are built to withstand the compression and weight of all drill pipes. CS-150 resists the effects of invert and other corrosive drilling fluids.

System Technical Information

The Arctic Pad uses any available power supply and draws approximately 20 watts per square foot. The active current draw is subject to the ambient conditions surrounding the system as well as the specific model chosen. Common supply voltages: 110 - 120vac or 208 - 277vac on request. While drawing a minimal amount of power depending on the environment and ambient temperatures, our heated traction pad system is ideal for all hazardous and / or high traffic situations and is the first of its kind that is suitable for Class 1 Div 2 locations.

Light Weight Stage

ModularUsing 1 m, 2 m and 3 m in modules, the “SKY STAGE” can be assembled to achieve a maximum length of 12 m between suspension centers. As an alternative walk through stirrups can be used, combined with end guard rails to give better access to corners of buildings, etc. In combination with available corner sections and hinges, any configuration can be assembled. 1 m or 2 m sections, combined with a walk through stirrup, forming a single hoist operated platform.

The suspension, connection and walk-through stirrups are fabricated from steel and paint protected. All other components are aluminum alloy.

The Sky Lock is an overspeed safety device. It acts as a brake in emergency situations e.g. breaking of a suspension rope or failure of hoist or motor. The Sky Lock is used in combination with Sky Climber® hoists and acts on the suspension rope, safety line or both, Sky Locks can be purchased separately from hoists but all hoists are sold with a Sky Lock included.
